7 St George in Geroskipou is supposed to be good.
There are some good places in Tala, Kissonerga and Pegia by all accounts.
I can personally recommend a couple of places in Pissouri, if you want to travel that far out.

I have just returned from a week in Paphos. Just a word of warning quite a number of restaurants seem to close from November through to March as it is out of season.

In Kato Paphos there are literally loads of restaurants to choose from - and the majority serve a similar menu and prices don't seem to vary that much.

For a traditional Greek evening I would highly recommend Demokritos Restaurant - food and service excellent, and they have Greek dancing every evening. The restaurant is in Kato Paphos at top of bar street opposite Robin Hood Pub.

Another restaurant is Manhattan also on Bar Street - we had a lovely meal there.

Napoleon Restaurant near Amathus Beach Hotel was also excellent.

For Chinese try Chloes - there are two branches - one opposite Venus Beach Hotel on Tomb of Kings Road and one on sea front.

Also opposite Venus Beach is Olivetos which is stone grilled dining - you can cook the meat yourself at table or have it cooked for you like we did. Food was absolutely terrific.

Another opposite Venus Beach is an Italian called Gondola where portions are very good and so is the quality of food.

Just hope you are not staying at Venus Beach itself.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

You can find reviews of restaurants in Paphos on http://www.paphos-eating.com

It is a new non-commercial site and should get better as more people add their reviews.

The Peyia tavern in Peyia is good. It is very small so you will probably need to book, I can't find the phone number to pass on to you right now but I'm sure someone has it.

I have also been recommended Petradakis in Kathikas but I haven't been there yet maybe someone else can comment further on this.

I really like Sienna on Tombs of the Kings Road (more towards Coral Bay) just before the Helios Bay apartments. This is a bit pricey but if you are looking for a really nice meal we have always found it to be good.

Hope this helps a little

Sienna, as recommended above, Peyia tavern, not 7st Georges (sorry Mark) touristy and not good these days, Sofie's in Peyia again, most local village taverna's, Messogi village and Chris's, simple food from the area but great for this, many top eating places that are in Kato are good, Artio, Pavarotti and so many more, drive out to Konia and the Kamaroudi tavern, great Cypriot food tel 26242044...Periklis in Nata is about the best I think, traditional and very few tourist's, more likely to be sitting near Cypriots, Sunday help yourself Sunday lunches are just not worth missing...so don't.

Peyia tavern phone number, ask for Michael 26621077

full telephone list here...

Well, Jim, that's 7SG off the list.

You did recomend somewhere else in (or near) Geroskipou once, I think.
If so, is it still worth a visit, and where is it?
