Yes Greece and Cyrus are known for cheap glasses but they do not come up to British standard requirements and if they are not right it's a big expense to pay to have to take them back which happened to a friend of ours, he started witnessing problems and no English optition would get involved in the end he had to get knew glasses it's a chance you take

Hi Jay trip, it depends when in spring you wish to go, please bear in mind that January and February can sometimes be very chilly and wet as can March although you can often drop lucky and get some pretty decent weather.

The last time I was in Malta it was the week before Christmas 1980 and it was very warm all week.My mother-in-law won the holiday and we stayed at the hotel Charella in Buggiba.I have googled and can not find any hotel named that in Malta.I have even looked on google earth and cant find it.It was brand new when we were there and surrounded by a building site.The owners also owned the Sea view hotel.I have never been back but would love to return but to the Sliema area.The was thinking of March as last year we went to Turkey but there are no flights from our local airport this winter.I have noticed on the weather websites October/November seem good.I had a quote for Christmas for a couple of hotels from Malta bargains but the reviews werent that good.I may take a chance with the weather in the spring as Thomson usually have good offers,and we would be siteseeing anyway.

October is a great month for visiting Malta. You have not mentioned which is your local airport? Why don't you try and book your trip independently. BA, Air Malta, Britishjet Thomson and Ryanair. Check to see if any of these fly to your local airport
