Sorry Stu, never heard of this one, but we are going to Marmaris/Icmeler again this Friday, will see if I can spot it, which company are you going with, or is it DIY?
Hi,hotel juniper was opposite the hotel we stayed in this year.Pool seemed fine and plenty of sunbeds.Beach is about a 10 minute walk past plenty of resturants, shops and bars!Hope this helps a bit
Thanks for the info ferret. Cheers Ray appreciate it m8, were going with a company called holidays 4 u anyway?
The Juniper used to be called the Yavus 2 and is situated in a side street opposite the Siesta hotel. It was closed last year when we stayed at the Siesta in May for refurbishment. We stayed at the Yavus in 2000 and had no complaints about it apart from the fact that it was a bit dated. I would imagine that now it's been done up it should be fine as it's in a good central position without being too noisy.

http://www.hoteljuniper.com you can see the pictures of the hotel .
the web page of the hotel is
Going to icmeler in aug, and asked around if anyone new of the hotel juniper. Found out it was called the Yavus 2 (Thanks Barbara) last yer but was changed and refurbished. wondering if anyone had any more info. Thanx Stu!
I stayed at Yavuz 2 last year - the rooms were bright and airy, cleaned daily, spacious too. The staff were great and very helpful. No bar there though (well there wasn't last year) The pool wasn't the cleanest but it didn't really matter because we went to the beach everyday anyway.
It was a great improvement to the Siesta Hotel opposite where we were supposed to stay...we managed 1 night there and realised we couldn't stay there any longer, but that's another story
We actually stayed at the Siesta in May 2003 and personally didn't have any problems there, so if Turkishgirl found the Juniper(Yavus2) better then I should think it must be ok. I didn't notice this year but when we stayed at the then Yavus 2 there was a bar out by the pool.

i have booked tonight of tele txt myself mum and my daughter going on the 10th augh ive onluy been away from icmeler 2 weeks but has a bad hotel at bellevue hotel so wanting a nicer hol this tmie. sounds good , looked on holiday watch dog on internet and 10/10 8/10 so better than 1/10 what bellevues got on 1 or 2 .
We stayed at the Juniper end of May into June and we have booked to go back again in September. We found the hotel good value for the money we paid. Rooms are average size, clean with mini bar, TV, hair dryer and air conditioning. We didn't use the air con so I can't tell you how much it was. Safety deposit box was £15 for 2 weeks. Good selection at breakfast, nice pool area and bar.
You don't say how old your daughter is and whether the three of you will be in one room. There would not have been enough room for a third bed in the room we had, but I think there may have been a few larger rooms. There were some people with young children. There isn't much there to keep children entertained, more a hotel for couples I would say. If you are just using the hotel as a base as we do, then it's in a good central position and not too noisy. I did write a hotel review on this site, maybe you have already read it.
