:?: Hi Is there anybody with teenage children going out to Feurteventura for christmas and New Year?

We are flying out of Manchester on the 23rd with my partner and teenage daughter, staying at the Suite Atlantis in Correlajo.

:) :) Cant wait !!

Does anybody know what the weather is like during Christmas, as we have never been before?

Cheers

I've been told to expect around 25 degrees.

Thanks for that, hopefully it will stay nice.

At least it's better than the weather we are having here :)

Are we likely to get a tan :?:

Cheers

The lady who we are hiring the villa from advised bikinis for day time. (for the ladies obviously, I just can't seem to get away with them!)

Hi Zonda. Will look out for you! Hope the weather is 25 degrees, that would be nice. Went to Lanzarote last year and the weather was a bit hit and miss  Gx

In case anyone is interested.
Correlejo was lovely on Xmas day. The sun shone and it was warm enough for the beach, if a little windy. People were out having Xmas breakfasts with Bucks Fizz and plenty of restaurants were serving traditional xmas fayre for lunch. It was a little bit quieter in the evening, but me and the missus went out for a curry at the Taj Mahal as we are planning on having Xmas dinner on 6th Jan.
New Years eve should be brilliant as there is a party planned in the square and everyone has to eat 12 grapes, one for each stroke of midnight. The firework display is due at midnight on the dot and then its party until dawn. Can't wait.
The parade of the 3 kings is due to start at around 5.30 pm on the 5th Jan and we will expect camels and sweets.

Hi Gillian,
As Andy states the waterpark is closed from November to the middle of March, everything else should be open. The Spanish celebrate Xmas on 6th Jan and party hard on New Years Eve as well. Most English restaurants have a Xmas day menu on for a fixed price, I would check with the Fuerteventura Grapevine in November for booking details, or refresh this post and I will send you the info. :)

So where in Corralejo does a really good Christmas dinner?

5th Avenue should be good, The Waterside, Picassos most of the English Restaurants should be fine. We went out for a curry last year. I heard good reports about most of them.

Oooh, we like curry! Where did you go?

It was very warm over Xmas and New Year here on Fuerte. Nowhere near as hot as the Dom Rep I would imagine, but you can sunbathe and swim. The atmosphere is pretty good too.
