Have stayed in the Riviera before , which is more at the santa susannna end of malgrat.....for english style pubs then you need to go to the Hotel Papi as the road /street there is very lively .

stayed at the riviera in sept 2006.
not realy any decent bars . nothing spanish at all.
worst bar i have ever been in in my life was the swan in malgrat
about amile from the hotel.
it is "a scotish pub"
it was absolutly filthy the beer was foul full of flys etc avoid.
the train to varios stops along the coast is great all stops are worth it
great beaches bars food in them all.
the bar in the riviera is very good
