Hi everyone, I cant believe how helpful this site is last year I got loads of brillant advice so I'm here again for some more I'm staying in Aiya Napa at the Napa Plaza, has anyone stayed here b4 and is it any good?
Can you recommend the best beach and can I walk to it?
Also is it cheap to eat and are there any daytime boat cruises to top up the tan? sorry to bombard you with all those questions at one x
Hi claire , im not exactly sure where the napa plaza is although all the descriptions ive read describe it as being near the monastery which makes it quite central for everything, the nearest beach will be at the harbour a 10 - 15 min walk away , theres plenty of good value places to eat and a number of daytime boat cruises from the harbour , im off over myself on the 20th of may all being well , try this site , its full of bar and restraunt web pages and an informative forum aswell
The hotel has it's own website here http://www.napaplaza.com
It's very central to everything and really lovely place, you can't believe what's behind the front facade of the hotel as it looks as though there's nothing there but the pool area is really nice. Location wise it's on the main drag up towards the "Square" and attached to the frontage of the hotel are some great bars and restaurants.
Great loaction, great hotel
Looks realy nice , ill have to nip in for a nose around
Never stayed at the hotel but it is ideally situated and from what I have read about the place because it is set back from the street it is a lot quieter than first impressions would suggest. We have considered staying there but always end up staying at or near the Thalassaki Village.
There's no shortage of boat cruises, you'll be given leaflets every time you go within 100 yards of the harbour (no hassle, just leaflets) so shop around till you find what you want (there's the party cruise type with games etc or ordinary cruise/swim/eat).
The square is just five minutes away from you but within steps of where you are there are friendly 'family' bars - -The Golden Arrow, Napa Star, Tommy's, More 'sophisticated' cocktail bars - - Pepper, The Lobby Bar and all kinds of decent restaurants.
Have fun!
thank you boothers you have been a great help
I hear Nissie beach is the best for snorkelling? Are there there buses running to teh other beaches?
Yes Claire, buses run all the way along Nissi Avenue, wherever you get off the bus on Nissi you're never more than 200 metres away from the sea
thanks I can't wait have never been b4 usually visit spain so this wil be nice.
I'm sure you'll love it Claire. Hope you do.
a, its european cup final night and im hoping a certain team from Manchester are there
b, Its my birthday lol, the reason i try to go that week every year
My sister and I stayed here in June 06. We are in our 20's and didn't pay for a pool view so we were put in the young block lol. It was hardly young but we were with all the other customers aged from 18/25. This hotel isn't for groups of clubbers it is more for couples or families. Our room looked out to the monestray. The monestray is gorgeous however , religion joe as we called him , used to ring the bells and chat and sing for every other day (especially on a sunday). With our room being right next to it it was so loud. The clubs don't make as much noise as him!
Infact you can laze by the pool and totally forget you are in ayia napa and are literally 2 minutes from the best clubs in Europe. It is so peaceful.
In all seriousness this hotel is just super. It is in the best location. You are literally 2 minutes from the best clubs on the island. If you don't want clubs then just turn right when you come out of the hotel and head for pubs and karaoke bars.
The best beach is nissi beach. You can jump in a taxi or get a bus. We hired a car for the week. To be honest it is worth the 5 minute car ride there.
Oh I could go on forever at how much I loved this hotel and ayia napa.
An other questions just ask or send me a pm
