have you seen the watchdog coverage of travelodge? without meaning to scare you, you may want to check out the website and see what wathcdog revealed.

We've been on lots of £26 breaks with Travelodge (just returned from 2 nights at London Covent Garden - have also been to London Royal Scot, York and Newcastle) without any problems.

You should be ok so long as you can check-in early. Basically Travelodge can (that's CAN, not necessarily DO) overbook on the same principal as plane flights are overbooked - on the basis that some people who have booked will not turn up. Rooms are then allocated on a first come first served basis so there is a possibilty that a late night/early morning check-in might find no room.

Therefore I wouldn't risk booking a Travelodge for a late check-in somewhere where other nearby Travelodges are not an option, but if you can arrive to check in reasonably early (3pm is normally the earliest) then you will have no problems whatsoever.

when we got there, she said we had booked a smoking room ! when we hadnt.....

but she then put us in a non smoking room so all was ok :D

I would def recommend them ,you have to book 21 days in advance for the £15 rooms though

Does anybody know when more sales will be on?

£15,£26 and £49 rooms are always available (if available if you see what I mean!) try the Supersaver search on the website.

Occasionally extra blocks of cheap rooms are made available although I'm not sure of timings. If you register on the site you will get emails announcing when this happens :)

the £15 rooms you have to book 21 days in advance
