We were there in July, my husband did a lot of snorkling and never saw any jelly fish
Lots in the news at the moment about Mediterranean beaches being closed because of Jellyfish. Can anyone tell me what the upto date position in Minorca (and Cala n Bosch in particular) is?

came back from minorca on the 4th august. The beaches we spent most of our time at were cala an bosch, cala gardania and santandria and we never experienced any jellyfish at all.
Hi, just got back from cala n forcat and we saw loads of jellyfish, both in the little cove in cala n forcat and whilst diving further along the coast. Also I got stung!! 
My sister in law has just got back and they didn't see any Jellyfish at all.
Its normally only if there have been storms or cooler weather, the jellyfish come in closer to land looking for walmer water

have been to Menorca several times - didnt experience any Jellyfish at all until last year after a couple of days of storms - seemed to bring them in and people used the beaches but did not go into the water - there are signs up (well there was where we were - Cala Blanca) to say there might be jellyfish but only saw them that once.
In August we saw a few float under the glass bottom boat whilst on a trip around Mahon harbour but we neither saw or heard of any at the various beaches we visited
i've only ever seen them in the shallow water once during the times i've visited menorca and was told it was weather related, they were gone the next day and never seen them there since.
In September week 1-8th there were a lot of Jellyfish, there was a no swim flag for one day, my Brother in Law got stung by a small one when he was snorkling and we saw quite a few at various times in the day.
I think it is a propblem all over the med at the moment.

i was swimming july/august and i didnt see any jellyfish, but a friend of mine dad got one on his face, and there was several other incidents but i am scared of fish and everything and i honestly didnt see a thing! stephie xXx
