Basking sharks are filter feeders and that includes other fish. I dont think
any human attacks are recorded so they could be described as veggies PS best wait for the cheque before starting the spending spree.

Makis - I envy you living on Rodos - the Dodekanisos are my favourite islands.
Merry Christmas one and all and Kalo Heimona!
PS - sorry Wizard if it got a bit "edgy" there for a while!

That greek article says it's nourished exclusively by plankton, derives from the Greek word 'planktos' meaning drifting, this contains animal and vegetable material, so it's not exclusively veggie.
I used the appropriately named babel fish

Anyway, I think it's a walrus with two wooden false teeth....

The Wizard felt this topic was becoming unpleasant although that was certainly not my intention.
I am aware that Basking sharks scoop up large shoals of mackeral off the south Cornish coast, ask any fisherman!!
i think its very funny talking about sharks in greece. we here can swim everywhere. we never had any problems with these animals..my house is on faliraki beach 10 meters from the sea. me personally have met a lot of times big and dangerous sharks in athens stockmarket, sofokleous street...all white
during this weekend we try to go to Symi island..and guess what!!!! we saw a big whale at the middle of the trip and some dolphins..

I hope you enjoyed the trip, Makispol.
