Hi
hubby and me have a chance to go away for a week or so without the kids this summer.
As we live in germany, and it is not far away we fancy driving down to Lake Garda and holidaying there.
We're not into discos or drinking or anything, but wouldn't want to stay somewhere too quiet - we enjoy the water (hubby would like to fish, I like to dip my toes in), scenery, lazy cups of coffee reading our books, nice things to see, museums..etc..
If anyone has any suggestions whereabouts on the Lake to stay, I'd really appreciate them.
We don't have a huge budget, but we're not rock bottom either.
Thank you!
There is something for everyone there whilst keeping its charm and not too busy.
Lots and lots of lovely bars and restaurants, some shops if you fancy a little stroll around them - without being too much.
Nice beach areas for you to have a dip and plenty of sitting areas around the lake to sit and watch (or read your book). You can easily visit the other neighbouring resorts from here by ferry such as Limone and you can also walk to Torbole.
Hope you have a fantastic time - we love it!
