Querim beach north of Arambol is very quiet with just a couple of shacks, but not good for accomodation, Arambol is not too commercialised.
All the southern beaches have lots of undeveloped areas, Benaulim is a quiet village with good accomodation and some beach huts.
Further south Agonda is good for beach huts, and nothing like as busy as Palolem, which is always full with day trippers.
Just stay away from Calangute Baga and Candolim and you will be happy.

Has anyone found any interesting places to stay inland away from the coast in N.Goa. I have been to The Wildernest which was great (2-3 days max).

Must be some demand for good accom' + pool away from the masses.

I agree, we wear our England shirts and (sorry Rokerender) ManU shirts and even Real Madrid shirts if there is a game on (in honour of DB) when we are in Goa. We have fantastic nights in the Sportsmans bar watching the games and have our photograph in there in our England and ManU shirts. On the other hand we are dressed to the nines when we go out other nights and certainly couldn't be called football yobs. We also go to Benidorm for one week every year and have a brilliant time in the clubs and bars and believe it or not walking - there are some brilliant walks to do around Benidorm. We have just been to Kerala and will be in Goa again end March/beginning April, after that Paros, Greek Islands for 2 weeks in August. All these places are very different and we love them all for what they are. Unfortunately I think people can be great travel snobs.

I certainly started somethig there .I would like to thank all those who wear football shirts for pleasure, especially OAP and Brenliz.

I will be available from the 24th February , for three weeks at the 'posh bar', thats our name for it , ie. The Chick and Fish outside the The Plaintain Leaf, Calungute, having a couple of lagers usually watching the hustle and bustle of life in Goa. Thats our regular stop off place while the wives go shopping , be warned if you want an argument, my mate Al is 6ft.6in and about 30stone??? only joking.

Our other haunt of course is the Sports Bar in Candolim where I've got to watch the Gunners, our friends are from London , never mind.

My wife is very upset about tha attitude towards Benidorm since she just came back from there on Sunday, her and the daughter acting in there usual lager, sorry cider loutish behaviour.

Why can't people keep an open mind on others and live and let live , as long as they do not bother you. At times it sounded like Big Brother and that would be sad.

See you in Goa, I'll BE WEARING A FOOTBALL SHIRT

time to lock I think as it has gone way off topic and I don't fancy Goa gang warfare
Anybody interested in finding the more quiet spots in Goa - you are welcome to start a new thread WITHOUT the words Benidorm and football shirts in it!!
