You will love Palma Nova, even though Magaluf is a short walk away they are two different places. You can enjoy nights in palma Nova and if you wanted to go clubbing a 5minute walk to magaluf

i am sure you will love it, i no i did

If you want to be close to airport I would suggest Santa Ponsa or if you want to be a bit further afield Cala Bona/Cala Millor/ Sillot or Sa Coma. I like Los Cristianos and love Cala Bona. It has a lovely charm, friendly people and enough to do. For this summer a new harbour area and traffic free promenade.CBG

Agree with Jim - magalluf has a bad press (normally from people who have never been) when in truth it is a very popular resort, for the simple fact that it has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday - good choice of hotels, Waterparks, Pirates, BCM, Kart racing and a huge variety of different Bars, Restaurants and Clubs (although I accept that's not what you want)

There is a part of Magalluf - the Hill, or Strip, or whatever you want to call it, that is very busy, and maybe rowdy in the height of the season, but most people who don't like that sort of scene, simply choose to stay in the centre of Magalluf, where the pace is similar to most of the other resorts that have been mentioned.

Palma Nova is nice, and a lot quieter, but frankly the majority of people there will be 2 to 3 times your age, and you might find it a little too "gentile", although in truth it's only a few minutes walk to Magalluf, where I promise you, you will want to spend most of your time.

Some of the other resorts are lovely family resorts, but that sometimes means having to put up with lots of families with screaming kids next to your table wherever you go - not for me thanks.

Palma Nova and Magaluf are ideally placed for the airport - only maybe 20 minutes drive away, and there is a variety of hotels - I promise you, you'll enjoy whichever resort you visit.

Cheers

I love them both, but if you prefer it quiet, then Palma Nova IMHO.The beauty is if you go to Palma Nova, it's not far into Magalluf, and you can see for yourself what it's like. There are quiet places (loads) to go to away from the "busier" areas..... Linda x

hi, palma nova is nice but so is magaluf, people think magaluf wild parties roudy teenagers, but it is not all like that we have been in season and we are in our 40s. lots of younger people prefer bcm and places like that but there is lots of quieter bars in magaluf. ( goodfellows, fountain, pickwick,to name a few )we have tried quite a lot of them and in the summer we prefer magaluf to palma nova. magaluf is so clean the workers are out cleaning the streets at 6.30 on a morning. and the beach in magaluf is the best beach we have ever been to. cheers val & libby
