Gay and Straight people can sunbathe in the nudist area together, as far as I am aware there isn't a separate area. There are signs on the beach making people aware where the nudist part starts and finishes.

There is the ordinary part of the beach where everyone sunbathes then walking towards the Lighthouse at Maspalomes, there is the nudist part, further up is the Gay part.

No one takes any notice as people tend to walk up and down along the shore, as I have on many occassions.

There are signs to state what part of the beach you are on.
