Not stayed in the beach huts, there a couple of different ones close by some raised on stilts and some on ground level, the beach is great appart from it gets windy and you eat sand and carry half a beach away with you at the end, but its worth it....
there are a couple of photos and you can make out the huts at the back on one of them. there is a fresh water river btween the beach and the shacks and huts which is crossed on a bridge.

We didn't go in there but visted the sister concern Dunes Dando up near Arambol. It is in a gorgeous setting in the dunes a short walk down thru to the beach. The huts look nice and it is arranged around a lovely dining and seating area; all rustic and candle lit at night. It is owned by an indian guy and a canadian lady and is very much a yoga retreat type place. It was very busy when we visited (the phone number is 832 3090703, it looked a nice more upmarket place to stay.
Mandrem Beach is lovely. I would also look at the River Cat Villa which is a lovely house with a garden overlooking the river. Also Little Goa, a very good restaurant with coco hits behind at 600 ruppees a night I think.
Dunes is a big holiday "village" of huts and rooms on Mandrem Beach. The lease on the land is up this year so it won't be the same next season. so may plan my next trip and will try to see how good it is,anyone stayed there?Feedback welcome.
The huts are very comfortable, well kitted out and nice and clean. The restaurant serves a wide variety of food - never had a bad meal yet!
The Ayurvedic Massage centre is worth a try - best massage I've had in Goa.
It is adviseable to book in advance beacuse it does get busy.
