Hi everyone,
Its my husbands 50th b'day in Oct & as hes a huge wild animal fan I was thinking of booking a trip to SA for a safari & beach holiday, I would obviously be going with him but I have limited mobility & use a wheelchair at times.
So would a safari be suitable for me?
And secondly where do I start? I have tried searches on google but it brings up so much info that its like looking for a needle in a haystack, any recommendations on who to use & who to avoid would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I can only talk about safari experience in kenya. I cant see limited mobilitity being too much of a problem on Safari. The game drives are spent inside a van so you have no walking to do. To see some things you may need to stand up for awile but that is all. Only thing I will ask is the reason for reduced mobility, the vans/jeeps are driving across rough terrain so a lot of jerking and jolting about so if this was to cause you a problem then it might be hard.
We used Somak Holidays who I think also offer South Africa a very good Safari specialist.
Kind Regards
Stewart
