we are going to Atlantica princess hotel on the 11th of july and i wondered how hot it will be there and do i need to take any insect repelant and are the fly's and wasps a bother

Anyone know first hand what the weather in rhodes is like at the moment. Various weather sites give all different reports. Last year we were there 10th may and the weather was quite hot, a bit of a heatwave i gather for may. Was hoping for plenty of sunbathing weather relaxing by the pool next wek when we go.

I've been looking at a holiday for the start of october but i am getting conflicting reports on the temperature and type of weather for this time.
Can anyone tell me what their thoughts are? I was told 20 degrees which isnt greatly warm for a beach holiday.

It depends where you are staying on the Island. If you are located on the west coast you will usually find winds of 10-30 mph which cool the temperature which in the daytime will be in the range of 80's - 90's deg F. On the east coast this area is less windy and the temperature will be about 5 -10 deg F warmer than the West Coast temperature.
The published temperatures are from Rhodes Airport on the windier west coast.
At the moment (22/06/07), the last few days have had high's in the low to mid 90's.
In July you will never see any clouds - just clear skies 24 hours per day!

Just to let you know. We have been having a heatwave for the last few days. The best is to stay in a airconditionned room. At the moment there is 45 Degr. in the shadow. So, I do not think you can tell exactly what the weather will be like in July or so. The clima has changed so much. We would never have thought that it would be getting this hot in June. I am thinking of emigrating o:))) not nice anymore. Make sure you take a bottle of water with you where ever you go. It could be life saving

My brother is in the Palladium Hotel at the moment and I was invited for dinner yesterday. The buffet was the best I ever had, the waiters very helpful and very kind. The rooms super. Everything is very clean. My brother has been staying there for the 4th time and he is being treated like a VIP. I can recommend this hotel. One of the best on the island. If I would not live here already, I would book the Palladium.

i have looked at 2 weather stations for rhodes for the next week and weather.com say rain and thunder storms and bbc weather say's beautiful sunshine and hot so im a bit confused which one is the true weather we go in a week
forget rain and thunderstorms, it is hot, blue sky and maybe a bit windy. And it should stay like this until end of October
Just looked on a couple of sites for the last weather and it looks as if its going to be very windy on Rhodes. Is this normal??
maybe not normal for this time of year but we are all relieved because it is not so hot anymore. For the last two nights we could even sleep without aircon. We even had so clouds the last 2 days but no rain. Weather in general great now
Ahh right I see. Looking forward to going now. First time to Rhodes, fingers crossed it still says nice at the end of September, when I go away I like it to be really hot.
