Hi Kath and welcome to the Cruise forum!

I have merged your post with an existing topic on the Ocean Village so you should find plenty information in earlier posts.

Hi we are off to Greece on the 24th May, just wondered if anyone has been on the new cruise intinerary yet? We've done OV from Palma 3 years running and loved it :D
Looking for advice on the trips from the ports, Should we go DIY or with OV? Are there any tips / advice, good or bad points please?
Also we are interested to hear from anyone who has done the Scuba Diving in Rhodes or Mykonos?

THANKS

You can download the drinks menu from their website, hold on I'll find you a snippet of info...

According to the Blue Bar price list, a 250ml glass of a mixer is 70p, a pint of (unidentified) 'mixer' is £1.50, J20 is £1.80 and Appletise is £1.20.
330ml cans of coke, fanta, sprite etc. are 95p and Red Bulls are £1.80.

Presumably that price counts across the ship but don't quote me!

Just wondering if anyone can help me. My parents love the ocean village and have been on it 4 times now. However they have booked floor B but an inner room this time. They have been told that the inner rooms are very noisey due to engine etc. They are considering upgrading their room to their usual outer cabin. Is the noise that bad?? is it worth the upgrade money??

I don't think an inside cabin would be any more noisy than an outside cabin. It will depends more on where the cabin is located on the ship. The stern tends to be the noisiest part of the ship.

My parents have just returned from 2 weeks on board. Their flight was leaving at 7pm so the paid to keep a cabin on. They were put into an inside cabin on B deck and they said the noise was incredible in it due to the stern (perhaps, im not sure, what ever it is that runs through the centre of the ship). The cabin they have booked is only 7 cabins away from it. They are contemplating paying the upgrade as 2 weeks in a noisey cabin willl be no fun.

I had an inside cabin on B deck a few years ago and there was no problem with noise. I think if you are lower down you hear more. hope this helps.

Hi all saints

Hope you had a lovely time, we're off next Thursday.

Can you elaborate on the tea/coffee making facilties in the room? I mean I guess there is a kettle, but do they stock the cabin with tea/coffee/milk/sugar? I'm thinking of taking 14 sachets of cappucino which only require hot water lol but am I being excessive. Or can you help yourself from the buffets to restock your cabin? I'm guessing you would only get clean cups once a day too...

LOL, a week to go and all I'm worrying about is me cup of tea!

We have recently got back from the Olives and Ouzo itinery and I have posted a review in the reviews section.

Let me know if anyone has any specific questions.

Hi,
We're off on Ocean Village next year and just wondered what the situation is re disembarking. I've heard that your luggage is taken at 11pm the night before departure. What is the situation re all your toiletteries/make up/tongs/change of clothes that you'll use before actually leaving the ship? Do you get to put these items into your case as a lot are not now hand luggage?
Thanks for your help
