dissapointing really..did not show hardly anything..to be honest a rubbish programme
He siad that all bottled beers in India have a small amount of glycerine or glycerol as a preservitive. Apparently this can cause headache!! (I know so can too many beers).
They said to turn the bottle upside down and with the top engrossed into a glass of water, you will then see the glycerol, which resembles an oily film, slip into the water. Then you can remove the bottle and drink your beer without having to worry about having a headache. Clearly, this will become more difficult to achieve once you've had a few!
Anyone do this ????
This has been well know in Goa for many years - Kingfisher is the worst offender and I have not touched it for a long time - it really did give me a bad headache. Kings is ok but only just. This is what I miss in Goa - a decent beer - although I am not much of a drinker I do like a nice cool beer in the evening but would rather do without than drink Kingfisher.
Try Belo next time you are there! We found it much nicer than Kingfisher and King - not many restaurants sell it, though there is always a large stock at Radha Shack on Candolim beach! Would love to buy it in England :-(
