The two resorts are both at opposite ends of the island,about 1hr 20mins by car.Some one would have to spend the night at someones apartment after a night out.

I've stayed in Cala Mayor and it's very close to Palma Nova, a short taxi ride away.
I would recommend she visits you, not a lot going on in Cala Mayor, but is has it's moments.

Well thats a different resort all together.The resort(15 mins from Palma Nova) is on the bus route to the city of Palma. Relations was staying in that resort last October.And I picked them up a few times to bring them back to Palma Nova for nights out.There didnt appear to be much to do in Cala Major.

Thanks folks. Looks like the birthday party will be in Palma Nova! Any suggestions for a good night out for 40 something couples?
