I am have recently returned from Fuengirola and took the train from Malaga to Fuengirola. The trains run every 30 minutes intio the centre of Fuengirola, which is the last stop. The cost is 1.9 euro per adult. I assume that your apartments are near the castle. This is approx a 5 minute taxi ride away and should cost around 7 euros. You can get a taxi outside the train station, there are usually plenty of them about.

Hav a look at my previous post, DIY to Fuengirola--my experience for more information. Enjoy your holiday when it comes

Hi Stewart

Does anybody know if there is going to be a train station in Belamadina near Arenal Golf as there was talk that this would happen, but plans change?

Hi Chen. The only talk I've heard is of Renfe building a new station at the Holiday Village, just beyond Torremuelle.
Given its height above Arroyo de la Miel, getting a train up to Arenal Golf would mean a funicular railway!

Thanks, I thought there was discussion about the ytrain going near Torrequabrada golf. Never mind

The existing line runs by the bottom of Arenal Golf's site so to build a station should not be too hard.I'm not sure the demand would be there for the station.Anyone with info on this?

I heard that Arenal was investing in building the station but since Mr Gomez has sold all his shares to the bank, plans have changed  He also purchased Tivoli World with the view to build on the car park but im not sure if this is going ahead also. Does anybody have any information on the new ice rink in Arroya and how it looks :D

I've just heard that there IS to be a new rail stop at Holiday Village. Benalmadena town hall gave it the go-ahead last week, although no timeline for its construction has been announced.
