We have been to the ABV in Barbados with our 2 kids, then 8 & 4. Had the best ever holiday which was all down to the kids club. The kids clubs have 3 age groups, creche to 2 years, and 2 others. We couldn't get our kids out of the club, the ladies were soo nice. They went at 10am give or take a few breaks and we picked them up at 10pm!!! They made so many friends. The club took them for lunch and dinner, which gave us time to do waterskiing etc, and have a romantic meal in the adult only Italian, which could rival any London Restaurant!! There is a pool right next to the kids club, so you could keep an eye or drag them out when you wanted to see them, but we all agreed this was our best holiday ever. The staff were polite, rooms nice, food excellent and 10 nice pools over 27 acres so it never felt crowded. Haven't been to the one in St. Lucia but I know they have only just taken this over, and are in the process of refurbishing it. Hope this helps.

Sorry, also wanted to add...The English seem to rate Hotels higher than Americans in general, which if looking at Trip Advisor (many American reviews) would explain many mixed reviews, they seem to expect the earth, because they offer such good service themselves??? IMHO. When we went to ABV, an American couple was shouting at the front desk, they had been given a free upgrade to ocean front ( which cost us over £1000) and the noise of the sea was keeping them awake at night!!! You just can't please everyone....
