I am not suprised that so many people love Las Vegas
We came back from Las Vegas at the weekend and are seriously thinking of booking another holiday there (well, maybe next year)
We flew Maxjet and loved every minute of it
We stayed at Barbary Coast - and one night we found special offer on Ceasers Palace ( for 152 USD inc. taxes.. and we were upgraded to Premium Palace Tower!! WOW - the room was fantastic!!).
My friend and I went on a trip to Grand Canyon (plane, helicopter, bus and boat including lunch for 274USD each). It was so beautiful that it took my breath away!
We didn't gamble much - I won around 30 USD on one machine, my husband played Blackjack by the bar and won 80 USD.
We had unbeliavable time and I would recommend it to anybody!!!
Which company did you book the Grand Canyon trip with and can you give me more details such as how long you had in the plane, helicopter and especially the bus? Was it a full day trip? The price you got sounds excellent, but I don't do very well in busses.

First I'd like to say Thank you for all your help. I didn't have a clue what to expect of LV and your messages helped me a lot.
We booked this trip exactly:

We were picked up around 8.20AM in front of Ballys and they dropped us off around 4PM at Barbary coast. After pick up we went to 'King Airlines' office to get registered (plus we had to pay 14USD fuel surcharge) and after they took us to the airport. There was 10 of us and we went in two planes to the Grand Canyon.
The bus was only few minutes ride on top of the Grand Canyon - from the small airport to two view points. It is like a shuttle bus which drops you at each point and comes back every 15 minutes. The first stop is by the 'Sky Bridge' - they are in the process of finishing it. On the second stop you have lunch - which was very tasty - some beef, chicken and even some pudding.
The small plane shakes a lot so don't forget to have your seatbelts VERY tight! We got into a 'small' turbolance but apparently it is normal.
I'd really prefer not to do the plane over the Grand Canyon as we did it many years ago and I hated every minute of it as the turbulence was so bad. Would much prefer to take a chopper. I've been in one before over the North Sea and had no problems, but then there aren't the thermals over the North Sea to cause the turbulence.

They do the helicopter trip for 274 USD aswell. I understand what you mean about the small plane One poor girl got quite sick.
This is the site for the helicopter trip.

Many thanks for the link. That looks more like what I'd be after. Still considering the GC at the moment. We've done it before, but are thinking about it for our next trip as we're there for 11 nights and need something to fill in the time apart from gambling.
Can you please let me know which helicopter company you used and whether they were any good as we are planning to do the same in September.
Thanks
Mark
I've read good things about Maverick and Papillion and I've heard of Look Tours before. When you get to Vegas there are free magazines in your room, the hotel and in taxis which have loads of adverts for the various tours.

I meant to say when you go to Vegas next this year (I think you go before we do), could you advise which Company you used if you decide to have the heli trip. You can't beat personal recommendations
Mark
No problem Mark, if we decide to do it.
