Very clever use of technology there. I hadnt realised you could insert pictures into a posting.
Yes, as far as I know that is the Samira Deluxe. Perhaps someone who has stayed there could confirm.
What you cant appreciate from that photo is the suberb view of the bay in the other direction. I will put that in the kalkan album later.

Just had a look again at where you circled the Samira deluxe - you have actually just missed it. It is at 2oclock directly adjacent to your circle. If you google Samira deluxe and look at a picture of it you will see it looks like a pair of buildings - this might help you pick it out more easily.

Er, that the seems to be the same as the last photo. Nearly there! I have put a panorama of the whole of kalkan in the photo gallery. It is a bit small online but if you copy it into a photo editor you can zoom in and pick out the bus station and so see where the Samira is in relation to the harbour.

Yes, you have found it!
Have a great holiday. Like you, we had stayed in Ovacik for a couple of years but having discovered Kalkan last year we much prefer it and are returning again at the end of July. If you have any questions feel free to ask as I know there are lots of Kalkan lovers on this forum.

Were in Ovacik/Hisaronu did you stop?

We are going on the 6th of August

In Ovacik we stayed twice in a characterful renovated cottage with its own pool booked through Cachet travel (Juniper cottage). It was up a side road on the north side of the big roundabout. We prefer Kalkan because the old town has so much more character with wonderful views of the bay from the roof top restaurants. We tended to go down to Olu Deniz a lot for meals which although beautiful meant catching a Dolmus whereas in Kalkan we walked everywhere.

We have stayed at a few in Ovacik Sunset apartments,Antas apartments but our favourite is Umit apartments on the edge of Ovacik (the petrol station end)

ICF,
It is only right and proper that I say thank you when someone corrects me and in turn apologise to the person I am helping, it is a matter of showing respect and good faith in human nature so no need for you to be embarrassed !!

Correct me if i'm wrong but I do believe the hotel runs a courtesy bus to town, perhaps someone could confirm this.

I've just been on the Hotel website and there is no mention of a tv in the rooms.

What the Samira deluxe wesite or the Samira hotel?
Reply
Definitely Samira deluxe as the write up refers to it being up on the hillside and the picture of the swimming pool is not of that in the town !! For info, I typed Samira deluxe Hotel Kalkan Turkey in the search engine and scrolled down the search and clicked on the one with absoluteholidays under it in green type. Anyway, you go on holiday to forget about tv and newspapers and what is going on back home, there are more important things to be doing like sinking a few Efes !!

Keeps kids occupied for an hour or so then we can have some peace.
I never buy a newspaper

:whoops, you made no mention of this in your initial enquiry but I am hopeful that there will be other families there and that your kids will make friends with them and be spending lots of time splashing about in the pool.
