yes u can i prefer to take them in case they get stolen dont have atm card
i can understand not taking cash or a card.but cheques are a bit out of date now.you will be better of opening a flexi nationwide card, its free.and you get a better rate when getting money out. .best just to shop a bout.but now days you get the same rates as cash.
where do u get them replaced in majorca if they are stolen
I am old fashioned so I take euro travellers cheques and will continue to do so until I can't get them any more. I always find somewhere to cash them at a small charge. CBG
any body know good place in palmanova to cash them apart from the hotel
If there is a bank in Palma Nova you should be OK, I haven't used them for years but on a recent tour of Cuba where the ATM machines didn't take our debit cards and very few places accepted credit cards I wished I had taken some as a back up. I really didn't like having to carry hundreds of pounds cash around with me.
If your cards are stolen you normally have to obtain a statement from the Police then contact your bank in the UK (or wherever you got the cheques) and they will send you replacements. Usually this telephone number is given to you when you first pick up the cheques. .
