I take it you are not leaving the airport on the way back?? If that is the case you won't need a visa.
No - we'll just be hanging around there waiting for our ownard flight to the UK ...Thanks !
You do not need a visa if you are in transit only if you are staying there and even then, you buy it there at passport control.

Thanks Pat - just need to get the one for Thailand then ! Fab..! Where did you go in Thailand? We're first timers so looking forward to hopefully a great time !
I take it your husband is from a country which is not covered in the list of ones where you can get a visa on arrival?
Yep! He's from Morocco....so needs a visa for almost everywhere !!
thought I should check!
Like you, we were first timers to Thailand too. We were there for my son's wedding to a Thai girl. So we stayed in their house in Chiang Mai helping to get everything sorted for the big event.
We didn't get round to going to Phuket and Koh Samui as we had hoped to but maybe next time!!!!
We went north to Chiang Rai and round the Golden triangle and of course all round Chiang Mai to the sights and things that were going on there.
I loved Thailand and the Thai people are so nice, very friendly and they smile all the time.
Everything is so cheap compared to UK prices.
I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
Where are you going to?
Pat
We're flying with Qatar and spending 2 nights in Bangkok and then 10 nights on Koh Samui....It sounded lik the best Island for what we were looking for. Your holiday sounds great! It's nice to be looked after by the locals - they always treat you very well - I've found that when going home to my husbands home country...
We flew with Qatar airways........read my post on Qatar airways on the flight only forum!!!
Pat
Oh no ! What a nightmare ..I was starting to get a bit worried !.. but luckily for you, excellent service afterwards! Hope we don't have similar problems !
Honestly, though, their treatment to make up for our nightmare was superb!!!
So make sure they don't fob you off!!!
Enjoy your hols.
Pat
Mum is trying to persuade us to go business class, at her expense, bless her !, but we can't justify her spending all that money... the upgrade is more than the holiday itself ! We've said that Qatar have a very good reputation and that we should be very comfortable in economy- more so than other airlines - hope so anyway !
