Have booked to go to the Pyramisa in Sharks Bay (AI) for Christmas and new year and have seen some really bad reviews on the hotel. Having said that, all of the hotels in our price range seem to get their fair share of bad reviews. We may have the opportunity to change to the Domina Coral Bay in Tiger Bay (either Sultan or Harem hotels) and I was wondering if anybody knew if this would be a better option. I really hope that somebody can help me as this is giving me nightmares!!
We usually holiday in Turkey and we realise that Sharm will be completely different in that you tend to stay in your own resort most of the time (no mindless wandering like we do in Turkey) and so I would like a resort that has plenty on offer - both the Pyramisa and Domina seem to offer that.
We went to the Tropicana Grand Oasis near the hotel you are palnning on WE did enjoy ourselves although we did notice some problems and reported truthfully
BUT saying that if we had the cash we would go back there again
All I can say is go try it enjoy the difference with your eyes open

my sister in law went to the pyramisa last year and absolutely loved it. she is a hard one to please so it must have been good. try to remember that we can't please all of the people all of the time. we stayed at the coral sea and we loved it but some reviews don't rate it very well at all so i would go with an open mind and see how you get on. if its not up to standard then, take pictures etc and complain to the reps.
