Went to calella end of april beginning of may 3 yrs ago for a long weekend with my daughter, stayed in the Esplai not far from the Palace........ weather terrible , very cold , very very windy and nothing open , and what was was very quiet. But i suppose things change over the years, so go and have a good time whatever the weather . Hubby and son came home from a football tournament in Torquay with a lovely tan

I am also going to Calella in April, the 11th, just wondered if there will be much to do? never been before so any hints or tips on places to go, with 2 kids (and a wheelchair) would be great, thanks.

weather can be unpredictable, but i would have no problems going back in april. was in lloret last week and temp was in 70s.
you cannot expect the same weather in april as in july/aug, but i would not worry unduly. take a fleece to wear at night just in case it does get too cold.
look at weather thread above to get advanced forecast sites.
most tourist places will open at easter, and as calella is a working town there will always be shops/bars/restaurants open.

As i said in an earlier post, the weather was terible at the end of april. It was May day bank holiday weekend . hubby and younger son went to torquay for a football tournament . Obviously the bars were not as lively as in July or August , and we did notice hotels still had boardings up , but i'm sure you will have a good time whatever the weather we did .
