I've just seen on the news that the Wall and barrier across Ledra Street, in Nicosia, was taken down by the National Guard last night!

It's not open as a crossing yet but it's still great news.
Every time I've visited Nicosia I've wondered if the barrier will be there on my next visit although to be honest I'd started to think that it would always be there.

it's always saddened me to see the barrier and 'no mans land' in the middle of the city and this news has got to be good for Cyprus.
