My parents are looking for somwhere in October to go for their anniversary, they want a beach holiday somewhere very warm or even hot with no more than a 5 hour flight. Has anyone got any ideas?

Cyprus may be a good shout. I've never been as late as October but when I've visited mid September the weathers still been spot on. Fantastic beaches aswell especially on the east of the island. Protaras, Ayia Napa (not the resort many people believe it to be especially at that time of the year) and Nissi Beach are all fantastic resorts.

Egypt will be the hottest.I was in Turkey last October and it was hot enough for me but it rained one day.I went to Cyprus 3 years ago in October and that was very hot
I would go for Egypt or one of the Canary Islands..Gran Canaria would be my recommendation...
Tunisia or Morocco will be nice at that time.
we went to Aiya Napa a few years ago in October. It was hot then. Not the sort of resort I would have picked in the height of summer but we liked it in October!
If they can afford it, Cape Verde Islands. A little over 5 hours I beleive.
I was in Gran Canaria at the end of October/beginning of November last year and it was very hot 30°+
Another for Cyprus. Although we went for the last 2 weeks of September it was still hot when we left and Aiya Napa is a great resort once the 18-30 crowd have gone!
Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I have told my parents and they are considering all the options although Egypt is winning the vote at the moment
