Hi all!
Me (27) and my girlfriend (26) are waiting for a late deal this year, and are quite open as to where to visit come May 19th (give, not take, a few days ).
The last few years we have visted the lively places like Laganas in Zante. The sort of places where you are almost forced into restaurants and bars by the PR's. But that is something we would like to avoid this year. We still want an array of bars and restaurants, but without the hassle.
I also want a resort that has internet access and hopefully bars that have Sky Sports news on, as I like to catch up with all the latest footy gossip while im away
Can anyone recommend a resort that fits this criteria? Does such a lovely place exist?
Remember change is not good!!!

I'm afraid that the odds are that the two will go together. Lots of bars means lots of competition and hence lots of hassle to try and persuade you to go into THIS one rather than THAT one. The only surefire way to avoid this sort of hassle is to go somewhere where there's not much choice and/or where there's too many customers for the available facilities. Touting and hassle is a consequence of over supply so you'll need to pick somewhere where the local bars etc know it's a sellers' market and they don't need to compete with rival businesses for too few customers.

Thanks for the reply too.
BTW, Turkey and Ibiza are the 2 places that have been ruled out by the girlfriend. It seems one of the other Greek islands or Tenerife are our expected destinations.
What about Benidorm? Plenty of bars, huge beach buses to get you outa town and not too much hastle on a night from touts.

Tenerife is lovely but I'm sorry to say suffers with touts/PRs outside the bars just as much as anywhere else. Having said that, the bars in Playa de las Americas are really good and there are some great nights out to be had there if you're young and lively.
I hope you're not put off by ibiza becauses of the reputation it has? It can be whatever you want it to be! Most groups of lads/lasses tend to stay in San Antonio.
Hersonissos on Crete would be a good bet for a No Hassle holiday. I don't recall much from last August as I was drunk, but the nightlife was there, the Tavernas were excellent in the outskirts, plenty of life on Star Beach, day and night. If you want shopping, (now you're reaching middle age), there's Heraklion, or nightlife there's Malia.
Regarding the touts in Tenerife. Arona council have put a ban into place so there are now very few timeshare touts. Try Costa Adeje or Fanabe
Hi we went to Roda in Corfu last year and had a great time - some nice bars (including sky sports, and they showed movies during the day), great beach - no hassle at all. Also Sidari which is quite near has even more bars, etc.......worth a look
For somewhere completely different...Tasmania
Hi how about cyprus we went to paphos last year and fell in love with cyprus. The people are lovely and cant do enough for you. We have booked to go back this year.
