hi!
we are looking to book, either the neptune paradise village or the papillon lagoon reef hotel in kenya.
i have read reviews for both, and i am leaning towards the neptune.
the only thing, that is putting me off,is a couple of reviews, have mentioned there being alot of sand flies & being bitten,at the neptune.
now the question is
are sand flies, only a problem,at the neptune,or are they a problem,at any hotel in kenya? so we wouldn't be able to escape them,no matter where we choose?
we are taking our 7 year old grandaughter with us,so if we can avoid them,i would rather, but understand,if this is unavoidable.
also is diani beach, the best place to stay,or should i also look at hotels,at bamburi,as at this point,i have completely ruled them out,but would reconsider.
thanks in advance
tracy
We were at Diani Beach staying at Leopard Beach Hotel last Sept. Sand flies? There were none and it's the same strip of beach. Mosquito's maybe although we did not get bitten once in 7 nights there and a few walks along the beach.
it was on the trip advisor site, where i came, upon the comments, regarding the sand flies & they were only mentioned,on the reviews,of the neptune.
just waiting for the brochures,to come out now,to get it booked.can't wait!!!!!!
thanks again
