The 2 bedroom apartments have been booked high season since last year.

I guess if they're fully booked for most of the year already is a pretty good recommendation.
We were looking at mid sept - early oct so we may have to make our mind up sooner rather than later.

We have booked the Captain Silver apartments (through John and Ramis excellent service) for the end of May this year.
I was going to say I will report back but It looks like we may be to late that given Johns reply.

we stayed at the capt silver last september ,booked through john.
EXCELLENT ALL ROUND.
we had the transfer and apartments ,good location , clean and friendly.

WE have booked again for 4 of us at the end of june and really looking forward to it.
the complex is right at the bottom of the mountain and is very peacefull.
easy walk to the main streets and 5 mins to the beach.
you will find it excellent.

we were told apartments were fantastic although the female owner was extremely nasty and rude!! this wouldnt put me off though but beware!

Mrs Silver is actually a nice woman but did lose it some times if people never looked after their kids and let them run riot everywhere and who can blame her as it is her own place.

The vacant rooms in the place (none) out of 42 apartments speak for themselves and I reckon we have at least 70% returning guests every year.

Ive had a tour around Captain Silver and to be honest they are wonderful, they are set back up a little road lined with houses/apartments and the gardens are absolutely wonderful. What I liked most is that the pool is surrounded by even more beautiful gardens with huge cushions for you to sit and lie on. We were told too that the mountain goats come down at night, although they cant get onto the property for the fence but it would have been nice to see.

Fair enough point about Mrs Silver, I would be protective too about this wonderful place. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here. The 2 bed apartments are very spacious, cant comment on the others, and so clean and airy. Whoever goes here will not be disappointed.

Don't let Mrs Silver put you off - we have stayed here and the apartments are in a great location. When we stayed Mrs Silver put on a turkish night - bbq, entertainment all night long, snake charmers, belly dancers etc. Fantastic food - everyone was invited and were not asked to pay a penny - we only paid for our drinks. I don't think many people would do that!! Yes, she does rule the roost but she never interfered with us once and certainly didn't spoil the holiday in any way. Go, you won't be disappointed.

I'm staying here in July along with my 3 kids and I'm glad Mrs Silver takes a firm stance on unruly kids whose parents are pulling them up!!

At risk of being controversial Far too many people seem to think that they don't have to be responsilbe for their offspring once they are on holiday and need to remember that they are not the only people on holiday.

I totally agree swimsuit and that goes for adults too! We went on a wonderful boat trip and it could so easily have been spoilt by the loud mouthed certain nation of people on board. They drank none stop and were loud and ill mannered throughout. I wont mention the nation but its safe to say theyre famous for putting out their beach towels early!!! Captain Silver Apartments are fab, I would have no hesitation on staying there at all, they are spacious, clean and wonderful, what more could you want. The pool area is central and near to the bar and whilst we were having a look around everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves, lovely lovely place. Were staying at the Blue Star this year as we got an amazing deal but this place is spot on.
