Also there is an "Ambavris apts" listed in Sunstart (probably the same one!) which is part of first Choice. If you look via the website there are several photos as well.

We too booked with Sunset for the Ampavris for Sept. 2006 as the reviews were great. On arrival at Kos airport, I tracked down the rep to inform her as a courtesy that we would not be taking the coach as we had our own transport arranged. She then dropped the bombshell that we had been moved due to the Ampavris overbooking. I complained as we had specific reasons for the Ampavris and had researched it, whereas the accommodation we were given was unknown to us.
As it transpired, the place we were given worked out better for us although the location was not as pretty. We did drive over to the Ampavris to see what we were missing and it is a beautiful place in a lovely quiet setting but the walk in to town was further than expected and would have been a bind (particularly crawling back after an evening out!).
Therefore, if you are looking for a relaxing place, a little out of town in a quiet rural spot then the Ampavris will fit that bill. there is a traditional restaurant just down the road that looked good (but with a limited menu). I can not comment on the rooms at the Ampavris as we did not get to see one!

thanks for feedback, looked at both reviews and have to say they are both excelent reviews and am looking forward to it , if anyone can recomend any restaurants cheap for some nights and good quality for other nights , specialy sea food resaurants i would be greatfull also any good sightseeing,boat trips etc
