Hope this is in the right place. I am looking for a holiday for Whit week to Egypt. I have found some flights thru Travel Republic and accomodation thru the Thomson website.
Has anyone ever then tried to see if a travel agent can match or better it, or as its not a complete holiday am I wasting my time. The accomodation is only thru Thomsons!!!!! not with any other company and I have searched and searched. Can`t fly with Thomsons as they only go on a Sunday and I need to fly Thursday so a bit of a quandry.
Any advice appreciated, just want to see if I can get the costs down a bit my other alternative is hold out and see if anyting comes up really close to the dates we want, but then could lose out all together.

Hi katiesmum, I've just had the same problem. Wanted to book a Thomson Gold hotel, but they don't fly from Leeds Bradford to Costa del Sol anymore. My local independent travel agent quoted me a price for seperate flights/accommodation but obviously they want some money out of it too. I ended up booking accomm. only with Thomsons, and flights with jet2. it worked out £189 per person cheaper. If you have an independent travel agent, it would be worth getting a price from them.
Another thing is, when I rang Thomsons about the accommodation, they offered to find a flight for me too. Could be worth a try? Good luck, Linda x

Thanks Linda, I`ll give it a try as I only thought Thomson did their own flights.
I was hopeing that some kind travel agent might want the business and give me a bettr price (good job I only pay one price for my calls looks like I`ll be on the phone most of tomorrow)
