A man died in a tragic accident - what relevance does that comment have to the subject?

Well we dont use mobile phones in petrol stations either.

You are saying he was smoking (or using his mobile phone) then?
No I am not saying he was smoking, if you read the article, it states the mobile phone rang, which caused the explosion.
Just stating how unsafe the smoking aspect is though, which they do in nearly every petrol station I have seen in Turkey. We are also advised in the UK not to use a mobile phone in the petrol stations, but the guy had a mobile phone in the truck which caused the explosion.

Mobile phones do not cause explosions of flammable liquids.

I apologise to a degree for elongating this debate but I can't appreciate why the tragic death of one poor guy would lead to a sweeping statement and criticism of a whole country of people.
