Hi
We are going to Edinburgh in July with my 15 yr old daughter to see Disney High Schol musical at the Playhouse and are looking for somewhere relatively cheap to stay and have found the above 2 hotels that have varying reviews on Tripadvisor, does anybody on here know anything good or bad about them.

I'd say if it's a weekend you'd be better avoiding the Grassmarket area as it will be teeming with drunken revellers. I don't know Ailsa Craig but the location is better and it gets good reviews on http://www.laterooms.com

I must admit I was rather favouring the Ailsa Craig location wise and the Playhouse is evidently a very short walk away.
