It was good to make comparisons with my favourite holiday long stay in Goa.
Cambodia I felt was a lot like what Goa used to be - however the big hotel groups are already in there and have started building. There are new apartments and luxury hotels being built all over the place. I don't know how the temple sites like Angkor Wat are going to cope - they are already bursting at the seams with tourist visitors.
Vietnam was like Goa without litter - food is very cheap and the people are so friendly.
In Saigon, a taxi from downtown to our hotel was 26,000 VD (less than £1) This was a luxury A/C car and the distance was about equivalent of Arpora to Aguada. But then the taxi was metered.
