i went to fuerteventura 2 years ago when finding out about the holiday i asked all the questions that related to my disability to make sure it was suited to my needs to let you understand i have arthirits and corasion at the base of my spine and most time i need a walking stick
i was told there was a couple of stairs not much, and also it was a flat walk to the beach from the complex and was suitable for the disabled
well you should have seen my face when i arrived this was not what i was expecting
to get to the pool and bar there was stairs about 60 of them
![](/storage/forum/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
also the area was very hilly and i never got around much
at the time of booking all i had was the picture from the book and the word of the agent i booked with
please please please check it out more than once the more feedback you get about disabled people going the better
i was not the only disabled person there and the hotels way of dealing with it was give you a scooter ( which you had to pay for ) i myself found this unexceptable , at some time in my life i will have to be in a wheelchair but at the moment i can still use my legs and would prefere to do so im not an object to overcome, all i wanted was to enjoy my holiday just like everyone else
