i was going take about £100 in euros over and then get the rest as and when from the cash points in Magaluf, i'm with the Nationwide - so they dont charge for this.
or
i could change enough over here and just take that over.
which way is best?
Use the cashpoint on holiday. You get a much better rate than the exchange burueaus over here and in Majorca. The only thing is you won't know how much your spending as you won't see the exchange rate until you get back home (unless you log on to internet banking while on holiday). Just budget for an exchange rate of 1.4 and you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much extra you'll have in your account.
Be careful not to rely on just one Cash card - had a customer recently who pressed the wrong button, and the machine ate his card. Yet another one who asked for cash, gave him a receipt, but no money. Always a good idea to have a bit of cash, a couple of cards etc - just to be on the safe side.
