Hi,
After a couple of years break from turkey i have decided to visit again. Could anyone tell me what the weather will be like around the 7th of May (i usually visit july time) day and night time temps, will we need a jacket at night?
Also i can't decide between the club turquoise or the club alpina, is one of them closer to long beach than the other (i know they are both set back off the main drag) as we prefer to drink/dine here than bar street.

Hi, expect coat/jumper on an night as it will get a bit chilly, but coldness is proportional to blood alcohol level!
Both Turquiose and Alpina are in the Armutalan areas, nice locations for both they both sit on or very close to Yunus Nadi street, which is approx 2km from the Main Road & Beeches.
When you go, pop in to the Sidewalk Bar and Restraunt which is in Time Plaza near the Traffic Lights.

does the weather differ that much between marmaris and kemmer,as we have stayed in kemmer the last couple of seasons during may and never needed a jumper or coat,i would have agreed with you philmarcus about the blood alcohol level except the gf doesn't consume any where near as me and she found the evenings to warm and sticky, 
I would be no means class it as "cold" on an evening but I deffinatley needed a jumper during May last year. Theres no harm in packing one just to be on the safe side, although I took the lazy option and just bought one when I got a bit chilly as its cheap enough just to pop into the nearest shop.
then it must differ quite a bit then,as last may we were in shorts and t-shirts every evening,and it was quite sticky,the only time we got cold was when entering the night club(air con)set far to high,

we were there 12th to 26th may,but as i said,the weather maybe different,as we are about a six hour drive from marmaris.

Ah that'll be why then, 6 hours is a considerable distance so you were probably allot warmer day/night.
Daytimes last may were very hot, infact we were told they were unusually high temps for the time of the year, hitting >30oC each day we were there.

yes they were very warm,i remember the hotel bent the rules and let the staff wear shorts as it was so warm,horrid feeling tho once your all showered and ready for the evening,but with in minutes you start to feel yucky again,still never mind i'll just have to drink more,

Currently according to my Vista Sidebar the exchange rate is 2.711 (thatll be a bank rate). I would expect on your visit that the street rate will be somewhere around 2.5.
I got 2.61 lira to the pound at first choice exchange bureau last week.sue
I am off to Bitez on 14 May, went the same time last year to Icmeler. It was very hot during the day, did need a cardie a few nights though. Hoping for more of the same this year First time to Bitez.
