Does anyone know where I could go to rent an apartment for me and my 2 children in August that wont cost the earth and is in a nice area in France?

So far, I've seen a flat in Les contamines for £700 for the month and one in Nice for the bargain price of £535 for a month. Unfortunately, they are not available.

I would be happy to spend around £500 odd

Any help would be greatly received. Thanks!
