I was puzzling over the flight times I've been given for travel to Hurghada on April 20, returning 27 April and realised the Egyptians change their clocks to Summertime too.
Googled Egyptian Summertime and found they change their clocks on last Friday of April ie. April 27 so thought I'd highlight it on this site. On holiday its very easy to lose track of time anyway and would hate anyone to miss their flight home!!
Just bumping this topic up as don't want anyone to miss their flights home!
Hi Caro, what time is your flight Friday to Hurghada and could you explain further about the times in Egypt.
We're flying out of Birmingham at 1000 hours and arrivng in Hurghada at 1635. The return times are 1835 and 2215. The return times are the same as in February, although we have changed our clocks since then - hence I googled Egyptian summertime. It apears (if te internet site I looked at is correct!) that they put their clocks forward an hour just as we do but on last Thursday /Friday of April. Don't know if the reps will highlight this or not but i'll check it out if they don't.
What time are your flights? We migh be at the airport for the return flight at the same time.
Our flight out to Hurghada leaves at 10.15 and our return is at 16.20.
Our flights are with Thomas Cook, cannot wait to get back, it seems like ages but we were last there 2nd March this year.
Were staying at same hotel, Three Corners Ocean View in El Gouna, how about yourselves.
Have yourselves a great holiday, as we all will.
Before i forget i presume the visas will e £10 per person at the airport.
Cheers Baz and Sam.
Nuttytart - we may well be in the same queues for visas and passport control in the arrivals hall but not on the way back. I'll be the short 'round' lady (probably wearing black) travelling with my 16 year old daughter who has long light brown and a big smile. If you spot us do stop and say hi!
It will be my fifth time to Hurghada since March 95 and my dughter's third.
Regards, Caro
Actual flight on way home is 18.20 hours not as stated before.
We will keep an eye out for both of you at Hurghada airport.
Im the frustrated English cricket fan, do not know what my nutty Samantha will be wearing but i will have an England cricket shirt on, before i burn it.
Happy hols
Barry.
Happy hols to you two too!
