Does any one know of a bus company which offers day trips to the Falkirk Wheel from Glasgow.
Thanks
I think most folk without their own transport would you use the Glasgow/Falkirk train service, which has a journey time of around 15/20 minutes, compared with over an hour on the Glasgow/Falkirk bus service. There is a connecting bus service from the train station to the Falkirk Wheel.
You may find more info at http://www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk

I agree with David I have never heard of any coach trips to the falkirk Wheel.
Get the train from Glasgow Queen St to Falkirk (High station) and then use First Bus no3 (Red Line) that takes you straight there, the bus doesn't operate on Sundays.
An adult cheap day return on the train costs £7.70 and an all day ticket for that zone on First Bus is £3.20
First Bus time table HERE
It is all very easy to get there and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Thanks for your prompt replies.
Once you get off the train at Falkirk High, head for the canal towpath and walk the rest! It's a nice walk along the Union canal, and isn't too long ... then you can get the bus back into Falkirk town centre, one of the nicest small town shopping areas in Scotland
There .... now i've done my bit for the local tourist board, maybe the council will reduce my tax bill next year!
