Best beach is the third beach (in my opinion) and the guys from the resteraunts will pick you up from your hotel and take you back f.o.c.
There was a big market on that was quite near, we got a taxi, but you could catch the dolmuss just as easily (if a bit more squashed!!!).
There are some fantastic eateries in and around dolphin square, we ate a one called THE GRAND several times which was fantastic!!! there was another one right on the front with a great big fountain in the middle, this was also brilliant, but I cant remember the name sorry.
Im sorry I cant remember seeing the hotel your staying in, but I'm sure you will like Altinkum. Good luck.

Try the crystal it does nice food also and is just up the road to the dolunay.
The market is on a saturday and is ten mins up the road. If you go to Oracle travel next to where you will be staying they can give you info on other trips.
Soke market is on wednesday and you can do that one yourself if you get the bus outside your hotel and just get off at soke bus station and you are at the market as it is right beside there.
Hope this helps Jacqui
hi thanks for the info that is great thanks
Lovely beaches at Altinkum, some of the best I've seen in Turkey.
We were in Marmaris/Icmeler last week and had yet another excellent holiday in Turkey.
Ray.
We have reviews of this hotel at Burak Hotel reviews
If you click on Resort Reports at the top of the page you should find reviews of Altinkum.

We have a villa inAltinkum & love the place. The market is in Didim on a Saturday. It's a smaller version of the Soke market. Altinkum actually means "Golden beach" and the beaches are great - beach 1 is in the town (nice), beach 2 is next (quiet), beach 3 is very nice - great for kids. Try Deniz restaurant here - they have a curtesy bus driving around all day & will give you a lift home too.
Doulany, Crystal, Grand are all good - also try Big Ben (next to Doulany) and Pinnochio's (just up from Big Ben) Summer Garden (up from Crystal)
Kusadasi is only 1hr away and they have a large waterpark, which is great for all ages. Altinkum has a smaller waterpark being built and it's opening next year.
Bodrum is only 1.5hr away and worth a visit too - castle, marina, shops.
As others said too - Epehsus & Pammukale are worth a visit.
May is lovely - hot enough to lie in the sun, warm enough in the evening to not need a cardi !
Have fun when you go. I'm sure you will.

hi, we went to altinkum a few years ago, it's a really nice place the people are really friendly and helpful. I can't remember any hotel names but the beaches were really nice and i would recommend going on one of the boats. They would anchor in the middle of the sea, and you can swim the sea is really clear, sometimes they provide lunch and it's a nice change from just sunbathing all day.
We have just come back from Altinkum, On the corner of the third beach is a lovely English restaurant called 3rd Beach Marina Restaurant owned by an English couple, Jacky & Rob, the place is absolutely spotlessly clean and you will enjoy the food.
We found the place to be very friendly and enjoyed the night life in Dolphin Square.
Have a nice time.
hi , we just got back from altinkum on monday and we loved it , we have been today to book again for next year. there are three great beaches and loads of fantastic restaurants , our favourites were the summer garden , victorias and oriental palace , the people are very friendly and the weather was red hot , the market on saturday was good although not as big as soke but still loads of bargains to be had.our favourite day was pamukkale , you have to see it to believe it . it was our first time in turkey and we can't wait till next september for our next visit.
We went to Pamukkale last July, it took about 4 hours on the coach from Marmaris, BUT it was well worth it as it was spectacular. We also had time to go in the pool and visit the Amphitheater just behind it. A great day out and only cost us £14 each inc. lunch.
Don't know about Burak but I can recommend the Nazar Studio's - I was there last month, they are clean, bright, staff are friendly and good location too.
hi does anyone know how far it is to pamukale from altinkum and how much the trip costs for an adult, ta much, sandy
