Hi, I am of to Tingaki in Kos in 2 weeks time and was wondering how much spending money we would need for 2 of us for a week self catering? We like to eat out as I don't cook whilst on holiday and any trips we do would be put on the credit card. So most of the money would be for food and drink. Any ideas on how much an evening meal would be?
Many thanks Redjoe
We only eat breakfast in, for each week we allow £700, given up paying for sunbeds , would rather spend it on ourselves. Long lunches, wine, and again evenings
Don't know if you realize you're in the Corfu forum you'd probably get more response in the Greece and other islands forum. However I'd agree with Bejay, you'd have ample spending money if you budget at around £600 - £700 a week. We normally spend around that much for two of us self catering and like yourselves always eat out and enjoy a few drinks. Have a good time.
Tingaki is lovely - went there a few years ago.
As for not paying for sunbeds - the beaches we went to you couldn't see the sand for the bl**dy things - never again!

Not too sure about Kos specifically, but my OH and I holiday in Greece every year and normally take around £800 for 2 weeks between us. We have breakfast in our room, a light lunch normally grab something from a supermarket, and eat out in different tavernas with plenty of wine every evening. We do pay for sun beds too. Some trips and dives we put on a credit card.
We are careful with our money to some extent, but find this amount is fine. Obviously prices do vary from island to island. We found Skiathos more expensive, than say Zante. Does anyone know how Parga compares?
