We only took a small amount of cash to Halikidki and simply used ATMs to withdraw funds. If that's an option for you, that's the one I'd use. We are with the Nationwide and they keep their rates up to the minute so you don't lose out and they don't charge you for withdrawals. Plus you can pay by debit card (meals, shops etc.) and they don't charge for that either.

Hi :wave

I would wait until you arrive as you do generally get a slightly better rate in resort compared to here in the UK.

Dont just take your bank/credit card in case you lose it.
We generally take some euros left from the year before, some travellers cheques and a card too.
I think most hotels/places charge you approx 2 to 3 percent commission to change these, however 3 percent of 100 Euros is less commission than 3 percent Sterling.
Post office exchange rates are good with 0% commission so we take euro travellers cheques.
There is an alternative now from banks and travel agents where you load money onto a card especially for your hols for one fee.Not really up on this one maybe you can check with your bank or local TA.
