Hi,

I had an e`mail direct from the hotel earlier today.

They say `most of the facilities will be in operation except the 2 ala carte restaurants (Fish and the Asian) The main Restaurant and Steak house restaurant already in operation. (No construction works)

Coutesy bus is 3 times a day and it is free of charge into Naama Bay, othertimes not on schedule you will have to pay.

Pool/beach towels provided (in case of loses $15)

First choice have guests going in from 1st May.

We have decided to take a chance as it will all be lovely and new and are booking for 24th May (rang travel agent today at 5.15 and they wouldn`t take our booking till Mon 9am as they had done their banking and were going home!!!! they have given me a good price so think I`ll hang on till Monday)

Anyone else going at Whit half term ??? just hope there is a little friend for Katie (10)

Didn`t know there was a roof pool!

I think it looks lovely.

It would seem that not only are the two restaurants not open yetbut also the dive centre and the Spa are not open either!!

I have heard that FC have even offered at least one couple a change to another hotel. (Although they are travelling tomorrow!)

Has anyone got any other news?

We`ve not heard anything from First Choice, and go 3 weeks tomorrow.
I went to a lot of trouble deciding to book here - OK think the hotel could have told me a bit more in their e`mails.

All we want is to chill out for a week, some of the items not available such as cycling, quadrunners, Asian restaurant, Seafood restaurant and dive centre won`t affect us as they might others.

I am sure we will survive for a week, after all even well established hotels have their own hicups when they decide to refurbish or update pools / rooms / restaurants. When we were at the Sheraton Miramar last summer they were working on their Spa and it was shut for the 14 days we were there but it wasn`t a problem.

Most of us booking knew about the 2 restaurants not being open as it was on the First Choice and Thomson site, they also mentioned about the cycling and quadrunners on the Thomsons site. The Spa, games room beach snack bar, fitness centre and dive centre are added extras, but theyse won`t distract us from having a good time.

Couple just returned and have posted lots of detail.... We cannot wait now .. it looks and sounds a very good hotel...
