Its in Sharks bay.It is on the Thomsons website from 15th February and First Choice from beginning of May.I am hoping there are some opening special offers.

We have booked to go in July. I have heard it is opening this Jan 2007. So hoping all will be ok in a brand new hotel.

does that mean i cant get price from thomsons till mid feb , as ive tried a few times bus states cant match criteira???. got price from first choice .

I have just looked on the Thomson website and the earliest date its showing is now March1st.The reason I am not booking until I know it is open is because they seem to be putting the opening date back.I remember what happened when people booked for the Coral sea only to be transfered to other hotels.The Savita is in a Thomson pricebreaker with the Sol y Mar Mirabelle hotels so thats where they would send you to if it wasnt open.if you want to book now I would ask someone at Thomson if they have actually had someone out there to see if the hotel is finished or still a building site.

can anyone tell me what its next to hotel wise as ive got the maps of sharm but its not on them, just so i know its location

also what sharks bay like ,as a few folk say its got nothing apart from asll inclusive hotels there?????

planning to go 3 adults 25-35 / 2 children 15,13 . will there be stuff for them or will they be bored .

Is this the new hotel being built next to the hilton???. Like anywhere else in sharm unless you are staying in or around Naarma Bay or Old Sharm there isnt really anything much outside the hotels other than long hotel driveways and desert . there is a small row of shops in sharks bay but nothing exciting, never went over there but from what i remember when we passed maybe a supermarket, a place selling very egyptian style gold and maybe a gift shop. most of the hotels offer a courtesy bus to take you into Naarma Bay that from SB will take around 10/15 mins or taxis are cheap and easy. everything is hotel based. I cant comment on that hotel as we were staying at the hilton sharks bay but i can say my teenagers were never bored, they made plenty of friends and we never saw them. they either sunbathed with their friends, were in the pool or the gym or the jaccuzi . just usual teenager stuff really where parents were not welcome . none of the hotels are big on evening entertainment but again our children managed fine with the shows and entertainment on offer. . there are also plenty of trips on offer. trips into the desert, quad biking, boat trips, diving, snorkelling, cairo, luxor etc

phoned up thomsons who said its completed now , so fingers crossed . also told there was onlt two rooms left for 5th july when were going so we got last couple which hopefully means other people have confidence in it too .

saved myself a few quid flyin from gatwick too as schools not finished then down there , glasgow £4116.60 gatwick £3055. for 5 adults all inclusive seemed good to me.

Some pictures and two reports. pictures were taken 9th Jan 2007 and it is clearly not finished ,although they are putting in guests from Russia and Germany.

We are not going until July so it should be well up and running. Hope anyone going soon will be ok. But I would check ,maybe show your booking agent the photos. 20 days on how much work is finished?

I was looking forward to going to this hotel but 90% Russian NO THANKS!It still resembles a building site looking at the photos.

Just booked two weeks here from 12 July two adults and 3 children 14 / 12/ 8.

First Choice that the Hotel was just open and in its shake down period.

Lady at FC said that it was next to Concorde el salem. She said that they she had been there last year and that the Savita looked like it was going to be very pretty good quality

any body else going the same time?

we go on the 12th aswell... we are party of 6 adults and 6 kids same age range... No doubt they will all meet up as kids do....

I'm sure this is going to be a good hotel... If not then there is plenty to do around Naama and Sharm

I too am thinking about booking this hotel,Though I think the coral sea resort will be hard to beat.

After reading it I think the decision has been made it looks wonderful.

If you would like any further information about the hotel they will respond to an email sent via their website.

they have confirmed to me that the bulk of the hotel is open, however they did say that they could not guarantee that all areas would be open by the begining of July. I specifically asked about the roof pool as shown on their model, and the retaurants.

I spoke to Fc who are due to follow up and get back to me this week.

Having said that they did send me some pictures (Which are the same as the website), That look great.

Here's hoping the whole resort will be finished in time!
