Bottled water was fine for our children, on several holidays to Majorca and Salou, we used it. Straight in the kettle, boil it up, and its fine.

We went to Tenerife with a 6 month old and just boiled bottled water, but tap water was OK to drink.

You haven't mentioned sterlising bottles. If you have access to a microwave it's not a problem. W didn't have one in our apartment so used my mums 40 year old method of sterilising tablets and a big pan of cold water.

Boiled bottled water will be fine.

but i've also heard that bottled water isn't suitable for making up babies bottles.

What did you have in mind as an alternative ?

i thought maybe i would have to purchase the ready made formula in cartons???

We bought the ready made formula (and took a couple of bottles with us) however our little un is 14 months and so only has 1/2 bottles a day.

I cant advise on the water, can you make it up with bottled?
