Pizzaria Italia,between the two town squares.They do a great fillet steak in Gorgonzola sauce.One drawback is that they're expensive on their wines by Portuguese standards.
P.S, The couvert is a meal in itself !!

thnx for the info: sagres. we will be enjoying 1 [& more] of those over there in under 3 weeks time. got premium upgrade flight for the 1st.time.. so all in all its gonna be greeeeaaaaat 
Another good restaurant for steaks is O Galeao;try their steak 'Rossini'.I'm off now - my mouth's beginning to water and I've started to dribble on my keyboard !!

blame me if u like..........but in 16days time..to the hour....... i shall be tucking in to a nice juicy " lagos" steak!!!............ & thinking of you then have to wash it down with a lge: brandy or 2.....or??
